Bian Sheng held a similar ticket in his hand. “Aren’t we going to the social event? It’s on the way.”
Tong Sui was speechless.
“That’s right, Sui Ge, didn’t you say you were going in front of Ye Yanwang last time?” Little Fatty said. “Hurry up and change your clothes, the agreed time is almost here, and being late isn’t good.”
Tong Sui now regretted saying those words.
He had to dry his hair, change out of his pajamas, and randomly swap into a plain outfit before following Bian Sheng to the hover car.
They soon arrived at the destination.
The lights in the club flickered chaotically, and the corners were dimly lit, creating a naturally ambiguous atmosphere.
As soon as he walked in, Tong Sui felt many gazes fall on him, filled with various meanings.
Although he had experienced far more formal events than this in his past life, Tong Sui still felt uncomfortable in this environment.
Just as he was thinking of making an excuse to leave, a group suddenly surrounded him.
“I thought I was seeing things! Sui Ge, how come you’re here?”
“I heard you’re in military academy now?”
“We sent you so many messages, why didn’t you reply?”
This group consisted of Tong Sui’s old friends from before.
He disliked them and decided to give them the cold shoulder.
Unexpectedly, today was just so coincidental that he bumped into them here.
The group clustered around Tong Sui, opened a few bottles of liquor, and began to chat on the sofa as they drank.
One of them shoved a glass into Tong Sui’s hand. “Sui Ge, why aren’t you drinking? You weren’t like this before.”
“Right? You haven’t said a word, we haven’t seen each other in so long. You have to drink this!”
Holding the glass, Tong Sui took a small sip. “I’ve been feeling unwell lately, I don’t want to drink. You all can keep chatting.”
With that, he stood up and made his way towards the exit.
Although a few friends wanted to stop him, they didn’t have the guts to do so.
After all, they had always been the ones supporting Tong Sui.
What everyone was eyeing were the family and influence behind him.
A few Omegas that wanted to approach him retreated upon sensing that Tong Sui didn’t seem interested.
Standing at the door, Tong Sui calmly took in the breeze for a while.
The bitter taste of alcohol still lingered in his mouth; he didn’t like this flavor.
Tong Sui was about to open his light brain to call for a ride when he saw a sleek black hover car stop at the entrance. A familiar figure stepped out and walked straight towards him.
Tong Sui’s hand paused.
He quickly turned and stepped into the shadows, gulping down the remaining drink in his cup in one go, spilling a few drops on his collar from the urgency.
The spicy liquor made Tong Sui’s face flush, turning bright red down to his neck.
As Ye Lingyuan entered, Tong Sui grabbed his collar and pushed him against the wall; he was still in his neat military uniform.
“Director Ye, I’m drunk.”
Inside, the group of old friends saw Tong Sui returning, initially thinking he had changed his mind and wanted to join them.
However, before they could call out, they witnessed the person who had just stated he had a stomach ache and couldn’t drink, suddenly tipping his head back and downing the rest of his drink.
Tong Sui’s friends: “???”
As they were left speechless in shock, a tall and straight figure stepped in behind Tong Sui.
Even though the lighting was dim, the person’s features and aura were still apparent and impressive.
This should be a very high-quality alpha.
Ye Lingyuan had just entered the dark place when, before he could adapt, a pair of soft arms wrapped around him.
He instinctively wanted to push them away, but the slightly tipsy voice stopped his every movement.
He let himself be pushed against the wall.
The cold, hard wall pressed against him, while the person in front of him was warm and intoxicating.
Ye Lingyuan’s fingers hovered in the air.
A strong smell of alcohol rushed at him, overpowering the sweet orange scent he had.
“You finally made it.”
Tong Sui lifted his head, his eyes glistening with tears spurred by the spicy alcohol, as the flickering lights fell into his gaze like moonlight dancing on a lake.
“Just how much have you had?”
Ye Lingyuan was like a wolf lurking in the dark, his throat moving slightly as his jawline tightened.
“Have you met anyone suitable?”
Tong Sui nodded, “Do you want to know who it is?”
“Who?”
The depths of his dark eyes were unfathomable, like standing on the edge of a cliff, one misstep would lead to an endless abyss.
Yet, Tong Sui leaned in and kissed the corner of his eye.
Ye Lingyuan’s breath hitched, as if a small corner of the ice mountain melted.
The hands wrapped around his neck casually brushed against the skin at the back of his neck, causing the glands beneath the skin to ignite with heat.
Tong Sui said, “Ye Lingyuan.”
The mixed flavor of spicy liquor and sweet fruit wafted around, as his rosy lips parted in front of him.
“Will you take me away?”
Ye Lingyuan’s eyes were deep.
The next moment, Tong Sui found himself falling into a wide embrace.
Strong arms wrapped around his waist, leading him out with large steps, away from the murky atmosphere inside.
With long legs, he walked briskly and steadily, and Tong Sui, loosely wrapping his arms around his neck, wasn’t afraid of falling.
The moonlight fell from the sky, spreading a blanket of silver frost, yet couldn’t reach the depths of his dark, profound eyes.
But Tong Sui wasn’t afraid.
He leaned closer, wanting to take in that long-lost scent.
Ye Lingyuan had a faint fragrance, but it was nearly impossible to detect beneath his perfectly tailored clothes.
